Liloppi ALMA – Italian merino yarn with colourful neps
Liloppi ALMA is a high-quality Italian blended yarn with a soft base made from 93% merino wool, enriched with silk and viscose. Its distinctive feature is the scattering of colourful neps, creating the look of a bold, chunky tweed. This is a yarn for knitters and crocheters who love projects with character. ALMA does not need complicated stitch patterns to stand out – the yarn itself creates a beautiful, textured surface and gives even simple garments a distinctive look. With its worsted/aran weight, ALMA is a versatile choice for both knitting and crochet. We recommend 4.5–6 mm needles or hooks, making it a great option for projects that work up relatively quickly while retaining a soft, substantial and expressive texture. The merino-rich composition makes ALMA soft and comfortable against the skin, without the typical scratchy feel associated with some wool yarns. Silk and viscose add an extra touch of refinement to the fibre blend.
