Viking Garn Nordwool from the Snorre Collection is a high-quality yarn made from 100% superwash-treated South American wool. Soft, resilient and comfortable to work with, it is designed for durable everyday knitwear while retaining the natural character of pure wool.

Viking Garn describes Nordwool as a soft and comfortable yarn that holds its shape well even after repeated washing and wear, making it suitable for garments for children, teenagers and adults.

Each 50 g ball contains 100 metres of DK weight yarn. The recommended needle size is 3.5 mm, with a gauge of 22–23 stitches per 10 cm.

Nordwool has a clearly visible multi-ply construction and a delicate woolly halo. This gives the finished fabric excellent stitch definition: individual stitches remain visible and textured patterns have a crisp, dimensional appearance.

This makes Nordwool particularly suitable for cables, ribbing, moss stitch and other textured knitting patterns. At the same time, its subtle halo softens the surface just enough to retain the cosy, natural character we expect from pure wool.

The yarn feels soft and comfortable without a pronounced scratchy feel, although sensitivity to pure wool naturally varies from person to person.
